The upper of these shoes is made from ecoTWX material, a lightweight, carbon-positive, and durable eco-friendly material crafted from recycled water bottles. On average, each pair of shoes made from ecoTWX removes 13 plastic water bottles from landfills and oceans. Besides helping to clean the environment, Twisted X also plants a tree for every pair purchased to help repopulate troubled tree populations in the United States.

The Nano Composite Safety Toe meets or exceeds ANSI standards ASTM F2413-18 M/I/C EH. This safety toe, compliant with electrical hazard standards, is constructed with carbon nanotubes woven together, creating one of the strongest and lightest safety toes available. Despite its strength, it provides excellent protection, comfort, and durability.

As part of their eco-conscious efforts, Twisted X has migrated from traditional nylon lining to ecoTweed Lining. This lining is made from 100% P.E.T. plastic bottles, producing recycled fabrics. The shoes also feature nylon laces for a secure fit and elastic gore tongue panels, allowing them to be worn as slip-ons or lace-ups.
